Ahmed Elsherbini

Vice President and General Manager, Boeing Global Engineering

Ahmed Elsherbini is the vice president and general manager of Boeing Global Engineering. He is responsible for leading the development, integration, and strategy of Boeing’s entire global engineering teams outside the U.S., which includes a workforce of over 10,000 engineers. Additionally, he has the responsibility of running the Boeing engineering sites in India, Brazil, Poland and Ukraine.

Elsherbini previously held the position of Vice President and Managing Director for the Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC). Under his leadership, India emerged as the largest engineering center outside the United States, creating numerous new capabilities that contributed to key Boeing global programs and the aerospace and technology sectors.

Throughout his career at Boeing, Elsherbini has held multiple roles across both commercial aviation and defense and space businesses.

Prior to his India position, he served as the director of workforce development for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). He has also served as the Chief Engineer for 777 Airplane Level Engineering Integration and was responsible for engineering operations, safety/certification and performance, liaison engineering, customer engineering, delivery support, and product improvement.

Additionally, he served as the chief engineer of payloads engineering, where he helped improve the functional excellence of payload skills across three Boeing design centers situated in Washington State, South Carolina, and Southern California. He has held other key positions, including deputy director of the seats Integration team, responsible for aircraft seating programs across various wide-body production airplanes, such as the Boeing 777, 787, 747, 767, and 777X.

Elsherbini holds a Bachelor of Manufacturing Engineering from Cleveland State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington.
