Since 2011, Joeri has been working for the international company Honeywell, in its Aerospace Technologies Business Group. Active in the European branch of its global R&T division, Advanced Technology Europe, he is responsible for the company’s engagement in European research projects and programmes. This includes flagship programmes like SESAR, Clean Sky, European Defence Funds, but also the UK ATI and German LuFo programmes.

Joeri is an active contributor to the ACARE INCO, ACARE WG1, EqIMG, Eurocontrol Agency Research Team, UK ATI International Advisory Group, and the ASD Civil Aviation Business Unit activities. He is also Chairman of the Royal Aeronautical Society Brussels Branch, a Member of the Society since 2006, and Stakeholder Advisory Board Member of EASN (European Aeronautics Science Network).

Before joining Honeywell, Joeri spent 15 years in the Air Traffic Management systems industry, working for different companies, including Frequents from Austria, Luciad from Belgium, Saab from Sweden, Siemens ADB from Germany, and HITT from the Netherlands. Since 2002, these activities also include European R&T projects, and is also a frequently asked Expert Evaluator and Reviewer in European Framework Programmes (FP6, FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe).

In 1996, he graduated from the University of Ghent with a Master Degree in Electronics, and a Master Degree in Avionics (Erasmus exchange programme with TU Delft). For over 20 years, he also holds a Private Pilot License (EASA and FAA).
