Ligeia Paletti

Ligeia Paletti is currently a research associate at DLR Institute of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul in the Product Lifecycle Management department. The focus of her research is the implementation of circular economy strategies in the air transport system, and in aircraft design and operations in particular. On this topic, she is also pursuing a PhD at the University of Patras, Greece. Prior to DLR, Ligeia worked at NLR (Netherlands Aerospace Centre) and in the aviation industry. She is also in the Board of Directors of Aethos Foundation. She graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in Aerospace Engineering. Her background (and professional interest) is in aerospace structures and materials, particularly in structural integrity.
