Malwina Nowakowska-Ketterle

Deputy Head of Unit, Defence Industrial Policy, at the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DEFIS) of the European Commission

Ms Malwina Nowakowska is the Deputy Head of Unit in DG DEFIS at the European Commission responsible for Defence Industrial Policy.

A trade economist by background she specialised in trade analysis and international policy aspects, responsible and sustainable business conduct and critical raw materials. Prior to joining the European Commission she was a researcher at the Swiss Institute for International Economics, Switzerland, member of the Global Trade Alert Team by CEPR and University of St. Gallen. She authored several trade-related research papers on the GSP, rules of origin and protectionism spread in the post-crisis era.

She holds an M.A. in International Economic Relations from Warsaw School of Economics, Poland and CEMS Master in International Management from University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.
