Philippe Beaumier

Head of Aeronautics, ONERA

Philippe graduated from Ecole Centrale de Paris Engineering School in 1989. He then Joined ONERA, the French Aerospace Research Organization in 1990.

After 13 years of research on Helicopter Rotor Blades, Ph. Beaumier has led for a 12-year period a research team in the field of rotary wings and turbomachinery Aerodynamics.

He then joined the ONERA Programme Directorate in 2017 and was appointed Aeronautics Director in 2019, in charge of the coordination of Aeronautics Research.

M. Beaumier has been largely involved in European projects and partnerships, in particular since the very beginning of Clean Aviation discussions, and has represented EREA (the European Research Organization Association) in the Governing Board of this partnership. He represents ONERA in national (like CORAC) and international (like EREA Future Sky or GARTEUR Council) organizations.

He is also a Senior Member of 3AF, the French Association for Aeronautics and Space.
